The Internet Tarot Weather Dude

Region:  North Western Ohio, North Central Ohio, North Eastern Ohio and North Western Pennsylvania.

Date:  Thursday, June 15th 2017

Deck:  Renaissance Tarot

Cards Drawn:  6 of Cups and 10 of Cups

Forecast:  I think my Wednesday forecast for this region was more than a bit off but say la vie say la gar (Only heard it said so forgive my slaughtered spelling) but at any rate what can I say for Thursday in this forecast region.  Two cards, both from the realm of cups, both pulled obverse.  Rain, rain and more rain over the twenty four hour period from midnight tonight until midnight Thursday.  There may be some thunder but it will feel like a gentle mid summer thunderstorm and it may linger.  Chance of severe weather is slim as neither the pressure gradient nor the temperature gradient appear to be that great.  Otherwise cloudy through out the period with a mild generally North by Easterly breeze (less than 5 mph).

May the Muse be with you and have a better than average day.

The Internet Tarot Weather Dude

Region:  North Western Ohio, North Central Ohio, North Eastern Ohio and North Western Pennsylvania.

Date(s):  Tuesday, June 13 and Wednesday, June 14 2017

Deck:  The Native American

Cards Drawn:  Hosteen Coyote (1 Major Arcana, inverse), Warrior of Pipes, 2 of tomahawks (inverse) and 8 of Pipes..

Forecast:  There’s that Coyote again.  What is the deal with that card?  At any rate, there will be an element of unpredictability over the next two days.  Expect skies to range from partly sunny to partly cloudy in general with large patches of haze over larger cities as well as randomly scattered over the region.  Temperatures will remain to warm (85 – 88) also over the period.  Any winds will be still to light (under 5 mph) except in and around thunderstorms.  Any wet weather will be isolated and passing (20% – 30% chance over the two day period) with the potential for some severe weather (Thunderstorms, wind possibly hail) during the day.  These thunderstorms will be of the popcorn variety and pass quickly.  There is also the possibility of rain at night again isolated and passing with a marginal chance of thunder.  This weather pattern will offer no relief.  Again remember that Coyote, it can be something of a trickster and at this point I have no idea what that entails.

Have a better than average day and may the muses smile upon you.

So far so good, let’s try another.

Region:  North western Ohio, North Central Ohio, North eastern Ohio and North Western Pennsylvania.

Date:  Wednesday, May 24 2017

Deck:   Hermetic Tarot

Cards Drawn:  Seven of Swords (inverse) and The King of Swords.

Forecast:  In my mind as I look at the austere and active black and white cards of the Hermetic Deck I am first struck by the idea that both of these cards indicate air or wind in this particular circumstance.  That being said, expect High Temperatures to linger in the lower 70s (70 – 72) cooler along the lake shore and in the mountains of Northern Pennsylvania and night time lows by dawn Thursday morning to be near sixty (60)s cloud cover will prevent radiational cooling.   There will be growing cloud cover so expect to see little sun,  Cloudy skies will expand from west to east.  Winds will remain around 10 to 15 mph with possibly higher winds in western Pennsylvania.  Possibility of rain is low (20-30% chance) through out the twenty four hour period.  If showers occur they will be spotty and brief at best.  No severe weather should be expected at this time.

Internet Tarot Weather Dude

Considering my lack of posts on this blog I have decided to take it in a slightly different direction.  So here goes…

The procedure is simple, I name an area, draw two cards from a yet to be named deck and make some type of prediction about the weather.

Region: Northern Ohio and north western Pennsylvania.

Date of Forecast:  Tuesday May 23, 2017

Deck: Native American

Cards Drawn:  one Pipes and  the Trump Justice

Forecast:  High temperatures in the middle to upper 70s  (74- 77)  though cooler along the lake shore.   Low temperatures in the middle to upper 50s (55-59).  Winds East to South by South East eventually due south by dawn the 24, speed around 10 mph increasing over the night to 15-17mph.  More sun less clouds and no rain expected.  A good day for outdoor activities.
